Target Audience This activity is intended for physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, dietitians, pharmacists, certified diabetes educators and other interprofessional health care professionals. Learning Objective At the end of this activity, the attendees should be able to: - Estimate the risk of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) for a person with diabetes based on current guidelines - Discuss the clinical importance of diabetes-specific risk enhancers for cardiovascular disease (CVD) - Identify appropriate blood pressure and cholesterol management goals for a person with diabetes - Design an appropriate drug therapy plan to reduce ASCVD risk for a person with diabetes
